Welcome to Lovie Literacy!

I am Jennie Lovie, a CA Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach, with 30 years of classroom teaching experience.  I hold a Master's of Science in Reading and Literacy from Cal State Fullerton, and am also trained in the Orton Gillingham approach. I have worked with students PS through junior high. I currently live in Prescott, AZ where I am available for private tutoring, literacy consulting, and professional development in the area of Reading and Family Literacy.

It is my belief that every learner has gifts and talents that allow them to be successful in reading and literacy development.  With compassion, integrity, and perseverance, my role as literacy coach and reading specialist, is to come alongside, and actively engage teachers to utilize these gifts, reflect and improve on learning outcomes, embrace diversity and differentiation, while striving to support student needs and continue to develop their literacy.
